Another review!

Phew, just finished another review for Adventuregamers.com . I always get nervous before writing a review -- will I do the game justice? More importantly, will I give readers enough info so that they can make an educated choice about getting the game? It can be hard with a niche like this because so many fans will get particular games regardless of how good or bad they are. And of course, being a fan of these games myself, it's sometimes difficult to see the bad in games put out by independent developers. I'm just so excited to be a part of something that so many people are passionate about. Even though I get nervous at the beginning of each writing episode, once I actually start writing, I remember how wonderful it feels to put my thoughts down. Rereading my words as I edit my pieces, I relive particular moments in the game and it's so satisfying to play around with the words until I get the images just right. Yay for adventure games!

Black Mirror II Review

Wahoo! My first ever video game review is up. Check out my review for Black Mirror II out at AdventureGamers.com . Playing a game for review is a world away from playing a game for fun. There's a tension there to meet a deadline and make sure that you're noting everything that you can from the game; the tension made me less patient with some things and maybe more jumpy at others. You'll have to read my review to get my full thoughts on the game, but it was an exciting process to be a part of. Jack Allin, the editor at AG is a fantastic editor who skillfully nudged my review into a more cohesive piece of writing. If you're a fan of classic point-and-click adventures, especially those with a darker tone, check out Black Mirror II for sure.

AG Staff!

Yay! I'm officially a staff member of one of my favorite sites on the Web and definitely my favorite game site, Adventure Gamers . Yes, I haven't written a blog post in forever, but having a baby will do that to you. My darling Natalia Rose was born last February, and she has been the center of my life for the past year. But, she's a fantabulous sleeper, so there has been plenty of time to catch up on my Adventure Gaming. I'll write more when my first review comes out. I'm pretty excited and nervous about it.
